On four Tuesdays in December (the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd), from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the TV Tower will illuminate with the light of kindness: the red color will remind everyone of the “Maltieciai Soup” campaign, which invites people to help the elderly. Light LED stripes shining around the widest part of the tower will show what percentage of the required amount has already been collected — everyone will clearly be able to see how much is still missing to reach the goal. And from Laisves Avenue, the exact amount collected to date will also be displayed using lasers.
The “Maltieciai Soup” charity campaign, now taking place in Lithuania for the twentieth time, encourages society to pay attention to the daily difficulties faced by lonely, impoverished seniors. The initiator of the illuminated TV Tower campaign is the Order of Malta Relief Service (Maltieciai), and the partners helping to implement it are Vilnius TV Tower and “Laser Projects”.
Join the effort and follow the changing numbers lighting up the TV Tower — the rising amount will show that the “Maltieciai Soup” campaign is succeeding and that a warm bowl of soup will be waiting for seniors throughout the coming year.
