On the first autumn Friday, we stand in solidarity with children suffering from cancer. Today, the evening of September 5th, Vilnius TV Tower will become a symbol of hearts supporting children and will be illuminated red – the color of the heart, representing struggle and courage, life and strength – what every child fighting illness needs every day. September is the awareness month for children with cancer, when the goal is to draw attention to pediatric oncological diseases, the challenges of their treatment, and the importance of community support. Worldwide, the number of children with oncological diseases remains stable, but currently there is a noticeable spike in cases of malignant diseases. Every year, about 100 children in Lithuania are diagnosed with cancer.
