Last week, an ice monitoring system was installed and tested at the Vilnius TV Tower. The system’s purpose is to monitor ice formation on Lithuania’s tallest structure and provide timely information about the risk level of falling ice. Starting tonight, in celebration of Lithuania’s State Restoration Day, the Vilnius TV Tower will be illuminated in the colors of the Lithuanian Flag. On the morning of February 16th, the largest national flag in the country (540 sq. m) will be raised at the tower.
