🎶 About Giedrius Nakas 🎶
Pianist and composer Giedrius Nakas is widely recognized for his performances alongside Lithuania’s most famous bands and artists, including Saules Kliosas, Andrius Mamontovas, Jurga, Monika Linkyte, Monika Liu, Kamaniu Silelis, and many others. Playing around 150 concerts per year, he is an active figure in the music scene.
Beyond performing, Giedrius has released four albums of his own compositions. His most notable work, the 2018 modern jazz album “No Fear, Full of Love,” was recorded in New York with a stellar lineup of internationally acclaimed jazz musicians.
In 2020, he debuted as a vocalist with the Lithuanian soul/R&B/pop album Burtai.
In 2021, he released the instrumental album The Dream I Forgot, recorded in Riga, which blends jazz, classical, rock, and cinematic influences.
Giedrius has also composed music for films and theater, collaborates with Kitas Kampas improvisers, performs in television music projects (Lietuvos Balsas, Mano Daina), and works as an arranger, producer, and recording artist.
His musical education spans prestigious institutions, including the National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Art, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Royal Conservatoire in Groningen (Netherlands), and six months of private studies in New York.
