Starting today (July 3), visitors can once again experience the renewed ‘Pauksciu takas’ (Milky Way) panoramic restaurant at the Vilnius TV Tower.
Located 165 metres above the ground, the restaurant invites guests to enjoy not only breathtaking views of the Lithuanian capital but also a renewed gastronomic experience.
The restaurant’s new concept is built around seasonal Lithuanian ingredients and a contemporary interpretation of Lithuanian cuisine. Special attention has also been given to the wine list, featuring wines from vineyards situated at elevations above 165 metres above sea level. One of the restaurant’s most distinctive design elements is a large-scale artwork by Lithuanian artist Jurgis Tarabilda, illustrating the story of Vilnius from the time of Grand Duke Gediminas to the construction of the TV Tower.
While the restaurant’s overall layout remains largely unchanged—shaped by the tower’s unique architecture—the interior has been thoughtfully reimagined. At its center are the open kitchen, bar, wine storage and tasting room, bringing the culinary experience closer to guests. Preserved is the feature that has captivated visitors for decades: the rotating platform, which completes a full 360-degree rotation every hour, offering ever-changing panoramic views of Vilnius.
